Limit of 10 proof Buffalos from mint increased to 5000!

In order to ensure the broadest and most fair access to United States Mint products, a limit of 5,000 units per order and per household is in effect. Accordingly, all orders for American Buffalo Gold Proof One Ounce Coins will go immediately into a backorder status to ensure compliance with this policy. This quality assurance process should not impact the estimated delivery time. The United States Mint may reevaluate this limit and either adjust or remove it at any time.
I guess they are not selling as well as the mint thought they would.

Funny stuff. 10 to 5000. Let me go look for the sales numbers on bullion as they propbably are correlated.

Bullion sales are only at 223,000. Only 6,000 so far this month.

Intersting. I recently ordered some eagles (not proofs) and they tried to steer me towards the buffalos.

Do you have a link to this information? Is it free, or are you a dealer and it's a service or something? Thanks in advance.

What I heard - take it fior what its worth - is that they limited the sale od 10 per household to keep dealers from cornering the market - now that over 2/3 of the available number have been sold - now, they have removed all limits.

I'm wondering if maybe it was supposed to be lowered to 5, not 5,000 even large dealers I wouldn't think would take that many.

It's available at the mints site. You have to hunt. I will try to find it for you. They also list GAE's sales, not sure about silver but it is prob. there to.
